James Bade: Formerly of Club Anime, James started his life in anime just like you, as a fan - in fact James is still a great fan of anime (in truth he spends more time with anime then he does with most people (or girls :) ) (Adam). More than likely you'll find James at home watching Anime like a mad man, and once in a while you might bump into him at some key locations downtown, like Suspect Video, 1,000,000 Comix, The Comic Emporium, The Beguiling, and back in Scarborough Town Center, Feature Presentation, "Sailors -- Wellesley and Jarvis" (Adam), the Anime section in the Adult Video Store" (Herman). All of these locations are places where James Drops off flyers for the next showing. Despite his strong objection, James was appointed by all of the executives as the club president. He earns his title with his strong interest in Anime, contribution to the club, and his flexibility dealing with immediate situations. "James, don't delete these lines or I'll whip you!" (Herman) |
Paul Auguste: Paul is one of the only people in the club who can truly say that he knew James before he got into anime (that is really incredible since even James doesn't remember!). Paul is easily recognized by his exceptionally long gotie, and signature accent. Called by some as the next Seinfeld, Paul is always the first to crack a joke, usually at the expense of his collegues. Paul is an easy guy to get along with (just be sharp! if you set yourself up you're gonna regret it!). Paul is usually quoted with these lines in mind: "Paul equals Lacky!! Why!!", I just don't understand why he thinks that! Also he is an Immortal Freak! (3X3 eyes, Mermaid Scar, Forest,etc., Highlander, the list goes on!)

Fuushigi Yuugi
John Tran: John is what you might call a modest artist (to say the least!)! John's art was spawned from his Chinese comic, one style that points out is from a great comic that John has been collecting ever since he was a child. John has known anime ever since he can remember. Ranma is his favorite anime of all time and he is far ahead of anyone on the executive staff at least in the knowledge of Ranma. John's cool nature and collective thought has earned him a seat on the executive table. Never loosing control, John, along with Aldine was instrumental when calming down James in a very tense situation involving a trouble maker on the gala opening of Anime Vortex on January 3rd 1997. James is always grateful to John and Aldine for their support in their new venture at George Brown. If it weren't for these two people, Anime Vortex probably wouldn't exist!
John: Leung : John is hands down the trickiest of all the AV Execs. His quick mind plus his Business Diploma from Ryerson makes him the most devious of them all.Known to his underworld associates as "Scarface" (Thanks to Paul), Leungs anime contacts are almost limitless as is his fan-sub collection. He got his first known (to me) taste of good fansubs from UR anime and later from friends at Vortex and YAMA. His favorite anime series are Orange Road, Marmalde Boy, Fushigi Yuugi and any good Hentai series you can throw at him.
Tennyson Fletcher: The self proclaimed God who looks down to the other A.V. Execs of the club. At this time he is one of the Assistant. Execs. of the Anime Vortex team. His rain of evil can be felt by the mortals around him. Tennyson started off his Anime Club carrer the same as Paul, James and the rest at Club Anime 8P. He was part of Club Anime Security then and now he does works for US.You can usually find him inside of the theater, keeping law and order & making sure the projector guy doesn't steal anything ^-^. In truth he is a big punching bag, (next time you see him take a shot). He his Fav anime series are Neon Genisis Evangelion, Vision of Escaflowne and Ninja Scroll.
Kinnon Yee: The youngest of the AV: Assistant executives staff, Kinnon still likes to be considered as a volunteer ("HAA HA!!! FREEEDOM!!!!") rather than an Assist. Exec. Getting into the anime club scene just a year ago, he has quickly rose to power. ("I learned from the best!!") Even though he has just stepped into the club scene, he has been an avid anime freak for the past 7 years of his life, starting down his dark path with Dragonball Z and Ranma 1/2. Being only 16, he is the youngest member of our staff. His favourite anime series include anything by GAINAX, anything by Yuzo Takada, Marmalade Boy, Dragonball Z and just about everything else!!! In his spare time he likes to listen to music, writing on his webpage ("Hey, I do have my own life you know!") and play games. ("Final Fantasy 7 RULES!!!!!") Kinnon is constantly willing to do anything for the execs ("Kinnon, go get the ice." "Yeeees Bade-sama...." "Kinnon, make me some nametags...." "Yessssss......") and has an incredible tolerance for James' constants bouts with amnesia! ("Uh, James..... Where is my BGC collection?" "Sorry I forgot it....." **WHAM!!!** *Bade goes to the moon!!*)
